This time of year many of us feel inspired to put away heavy, hygge winter decorations and pull out the spring storage totes. I know I’m not alone; I would rather spend my free time outdoors now that the weather is warming up. It feels great to get out of the house!
Sometimes all we need is a change of scenery for inspiration to strike. So, Rose Buds, I encourage you to seek out some new scenes, and find some new pieces that will reset your mood for the new season. One way to start is by taking inventory of the home décor you keep in place all year. Changing out some of these pieces can make a dramatic visual impact and you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.
Here at Purple Rose Home we encourage you to introduce new things into a space that will make an impact both functionally and aesthetically. If the Spring weather is inspiring you to change your décor, or you're simply in need of a change of scenery, adding a new light can quickly transform your space.
Aspen Table Lamp with Linen Shade
The Aspen Table Lamp is at the top of our list of favorite modern farmhouse lighting. The thing about distressed home décor is that it isn’t perfect. The chipping and scratching on the surface looks aged and worn, and will work well in a farmhouse setting.
It’s important to note that a taller lamp should be placed on a larger table, so that the lamp doesn't overwhelm a little table. The height of this lamp would work well on an entryway table or buffet.
The Lucas Distressed Table Lamp is quite a bit shorter than the Aspen Table Lamp. Its low-profile stature makes it a great fit for a bedside table or hall table. Changing out your bedside lamp will give you the warm and fuzzies both when you crawl into bed, and when you wake up in the morning. That’s what a bedroom refresh can do!
The Huck Floor Lamp can be incorporated into many spaces since the clean, black matte finish works almost anywhere. Place it somewhere you need a little height, next to a reading chair, at the end of a couch, or use it to brighten a dark corner. This modern farmhouse lighting works well in a room with other matte black finishes. The black trunk of the lamp makes a statement you will swoon over when you find the perfect home for it.
Turned Natural Wooden Compote, Large
The large Natural Wooden Compote will be your new favorite piece this spring. I am a huge fan of small changes that make big impacts. The compote would work well with faux greenery to use as a centerpiece. Or, add a chunky candle and bring some flickering atmosphere to any room.
Hilda Mango Wood Taper Candle Holder
On the topic of a quick transformation, these candle holders will do just that. Although they are sold separately, they work perfectly together. Imagine them paired on your mantle with tall candles and a faux greenery candle ring to pull the whole look together. Alternatively, they look great as an accessory on a window sill.
Marbled Glass Signature Rose Bud Poured Candle
The Purple Rose Home Signature Rose Bud Poured Candle is, of course, a favorite of mine. These gorgeous candles are a must-have! The candles are hand-poured in Maine with traces of rose, freesia, red poppy, musk and sandalwood. The marbled glass container provides a birch-like pattern that will give your mantle character.
While they’re sold separately, two or three together make quite an impact. Consider adding a Signature Rose Bud candle to the living room coffee table, but trust it will look lovely anywhere in your home.
Aubrey Distressed White Metal Lantern Style Pendant
Nothing says “elegant” quite like the Aubrey Distressed Metal Lantern Pendant. Its classic look would make a striking addition to your dining room, kitchen island, or even in your bathroom. Similar to the Aspen Table Lamp, the pendant has an imperfect distressed look that goes perfectly with modern farmhouse or French farmhouse décor.
Cricket Woven Seagrass Pendant
If you’ve been hunting for a basket pendant, this is the one you’ve been looking for! With a mixture of white-washed wood and textured seagrass, this pendant is the ultimate boho farmhouse light fixture. The light comes with a white chain to suspend it from the ceiling. The chain is so delicate, you’ll think the lamp is floating.
The natural appearance will give your space a relaxed feel. You’ll wish you had found this seagrass pendant sooner!
The Clive Long Wicker Pendant provides a focused cone of light, making it perfect for your breakfast bar or kitchen island. Hanging a few together will create a stunning look! The wicker shade suggests a laidback look wherever it's hung.
Layering other wicker pieces for example the Hand Woven Rattan Basket Ledge in the same room as this pendant will create a cohesive design element. I suggest the fixture in your kitchen, with the Monteray Woven Lantern’s on your counter to balance out the texture in that space.
The Constance Wicker Dome Pendant has a much larger presence than the Clive Pendant. The opening of the pendant will illuminate a much larger area, allowing it to be in a space that requires more light, such as above the dining room table or entryway.
The neutral, natural shade looks incredible in your boho, coastal, or farmhouse home. The darker shade of wicker is so fitting styled in a bohemian moody room, with not-quite-black walls and accents of light throughout. Regardless of your palette, the dome pendants will transform any room.
The captivating shape of the Arnold Wooden Teardrop Light hung in a foyer is the perfect way to greet your guests. Using an antique-looking LED bulb add a touch of vintage flare.
Integrating new and fresh light sources in your home can freshen up any room or space. Rose Buds, trust us, you will be so excited about any of these products once you incorporate them into your home. And, once you do, tag us and show us how you’ve styled them!
