If you’ve spent the majority of the previous five or six months indoors like me, you may look at your space with a little *sigh*. But spring brings new life  and that means it’s time to liven up the spaces in your home that see the most visitors. I’m guessing your farmhouse style kitchen is among them.

Our spring collection has a plethora of new items to help you add some spring in your step - or at least some spring freshness to your cottagecore kitchen or boho style kitchen.

(Have you met cottagecore yet? We stumbled upon it recently. A cottagecore kitchen or cottagecore aesthetic refers to the trend of decorating your kitchen or dining or other rooms with simple, rural elements. We got excited because it sounds a lot like what we already do at Purple Rose Home.)

The easing of the pandemic and the arrival of warm, sunny weather means we’re starting to gather together again. One of our influencers, Chrissy Melin, shared some wonderful ideas for outdoor patio entertaining in our previous blog post, but as you’re aware, even if the party is mainly outside, people still gather in the kitchen.

So, here’s a plan for reinvigorating this space. A farmhouse style kitchen and/or dining room needs natural dishware. We’re excited to present the Farmhouse Collection of stoneware, which makes a cottagecore kitchen or boho style kitchen come to life.

I adore the tone of gray with tiny, dark speckles.  The set of six Farmhouse Collection Stoneware Mugs feature an Italian design that also has a contemporary feel. I can see the wafts of steam rising out of these mugs with hot jasmine tea inside.

The Farmhouse Collection of dishware is fancy enough for a dinner party but also great for everyday family use. Present a delicious three-course meal of salad, soup/stew and an entrée with the set.

The gray tone of the Farmhouse Collection Stoneware Salad Plate set looks marvelous piled with a spring salad of spinach and mixed greens. I imagine broiled salmon atop the Farmhouse Collection Stoneware Dinner Plate set. And, how about a creamy tomato soup for the Farmhouse Collection Stoneware Soup/Cereal bowl set? I’m getting hungry just planning my next dinner party!

As I mentioned, the family will enjoy using these day after day, too. Cereal, oatmeal or a bowl of seasonal fruit are all more delicious served inside the Farmhouse Collection bowls.

For serving, we offer the Farmhouse Collection square dishes in white and gray, too.

Now, let’s add some farmhouse style to the table, too, to complete the springtime dinner presentation. The stoneware dishes and the décor below will work well on any tone of wooden table. Use simple colors with your table runner and napkins - how about some woven ones! - and everything will come together nicely.

I like to keep it simple with some natural faux greenery and vessels. Start with a wooden Amber Stained Paulownia Short Vase - and adore those grain lines! Then, add a Cream Peony Bundle and a Dusty Miller Stem or two for an understated yet charming presentation.

Spruce up the runner with an Alder Eucalyptus and Bubble Berry Garland and pair it with its partner, an Alder Eucalyptus and Bubble Berry Mini Drop placed atop each place setting. It’s fancy farmhouse, Rose Buds!

I mentioned a three-course meal above, but if you want to simplify the menu with soup or salad, you’ve got room for dessert - my favorite part of the meal! Imagine a three-tiered cake atop the  Paulownia Wood Cake Stand, and utilize your soup or salad plates for serving slices.

I adore springtime as it means adding simple, fresh elements to a variety of spaces. The above table display is just a suggestion, of course. I bet the ideas for spring décor items in your farmhouse style kitchen are already running through your head.

Happy decorating!
